Our wines are extremely limited releases from tiny parcels that we have selected within our acclaimed vineyards.
Purchase wines from special collections, such as our Crémants, reserve cuvées, late harvest wines, and aged bottles.
Late harvest wines require very specific conditions in the vineyard. The conditions are so rare, in fact, that we have made a late harvest wine in only three harvests. First, we must leave the grapes to hang well past the normal end of harvest typically well into November. During this time there must be some moisture to allow botrytis to bloom on the clusters. Then there must be several weeks of sun to achieve the desirable "noble rot". Our late harvest Riesling, with just 8% residual sugar and healthy acidity, is sweet without being cloying. It has layered notes of apricot, orange blossom, and delicate honeycomb, with a trace of crème caramel.
Made from 70% Grenache Blanc, 16% Viognier, and 14% Roussanne, our 2019 RRV Reserve Cuvée Blanche is a uniquely Californian rendition of the great white blends of Châteauneuf du Pape. The 2019 vintage is a rare wine for us only our second vintage of this wine, but one with a remarkable difference from its predecessor. In 2019, the Grenache Blanc component spent 24 hours on the skins, yielding a golden richness in the finished wine. As such, the Viognier and its opulence have been attenuated slightly. Even so, this wine has a fairly rich profile, with notes of golden raspberry, spiced pear, green tea, and delicate allspice.
The Coterie Crémants are our first sparkling wines, released after years of exploration. We follow the Méthode Champenoise, where every bottle goes through its own tirage. This creates the bubbles and additional complexity through sur lies aging. After a total élevage of at least 15 months, we riddle the bottles on racks — originals built in Épernay, France, then disgorge them. We make this wine entirely by hand and at our own location, which is very unusual for a small winery. With its fine mousse and youthful color of fresh straw, this wine has alluring notes of Anjou pear and lemon curd, a gentle brininess, and a creamy suggestion of brioche.

With its gleefully pink hue, this wine has a unique, savory profile of spiced plum, strawberry jam, and delicate peppercorn. It shines in a wide range of food pairings.
Most of our wines are vineyard-designate wines, where each accentuates the beauty of a single vineyard. Our reserve cuvée wines are made from these very same vineyards, usually blended at the same time as our vineyard-designate wines but across vineyards. These are wines with their own distinction, at an exceptional price. We made our 2018 RRV Reserve Cuvée Pinot Noir from three blocks within the Russian River Valley, comprised of 16, 2A, and Swan cuttings, farmed by revered winegrower Steve Dutton. It has a beguiling, delicate color, with fresh and lively flavors of red strawberry, violets, and a hint of juniper berry.

We made our 2019 SLH Reserve Cuvée Pinot Noir from six blocks across Kirk Williams Ranch and Tondre Grapefield comprised of 667, Pommard 4, 943, and 777 cuttings, among the most respected in the area. It's a layered, gratifying wine full of cherry and baking spice with a lean towards a brighter balance.
